About Us

GRB was founded in 1964. Over the years, we’ve built a reputation for being conscientious contractors who deliver on time and on budget with a safe, realistic and commercially responsible approach to every project.

An integrated team

We work on contracts of all sizes across the North West and throughout the UK, taking on main contractor responsibilities and sub-contractor roles.
We are part of the MEEL group, which includes Higgins, is a heating, plumbing and electrical company with specialist engineers dedicated to laboratory design and gas detection systems. The third group company is SES - Sustainable Energy Solutions, which design and install electric vehicle charge systems, battery storage and renewable energy solutions.

With all group companies working from the same base, we operate as an integrated team and ensure seamless service delivery.

Our Clients

Our client list includes leading main contractors such as Cumberbirch, Carefoot, DH Welton, Warden and Novus plus public sector bodies including Stockport NHS Foundation Trust and East Cheshire NHS Trust.

NHS SBS Framework

GRB is proud to be an NHS SBS Framework contractor for Hard Facilities Management.  We were awarded the framework agreement in April 2022.

Our Approach

At GRB our focus is on you. We understand that no project and no client are the same. Importantly, we take the time to understand your objectives rather than simply agreeing to a list of tasks. Taking a structured approach, we find the best options for a coherent solution in which every element works together effectively.

No matter how complex the job, we tie together every detail, with our project managers liaising closely with you to plan schedules of work that take account of your operational needs.

Thanks to our wealth of experience, we spot issues fast and resolve them without fuss, identifying creative solutions to even the most challenging problems.

Our on-site people are supported by a skilled and experienced team of estimators, designers, project managers and engineers, giving you a joined-up approach that increases efficiency and provides cost-effective results.

Price, social value, quality and safety are our watchwords.

Our Principles

GRB’s reputation has been built over the years on the following principles:

Respect -
Working considerately and handing back sites as we found them (if not better).

Efficiency -
In cost, back-office systems and project management.

Diligence -
Embracing a safety-first approach, both for our team and across the working site.

Our Team

Our highly-skilled team share GRB’s goal of delivering projects on time, on budget, safely, efficiently and reliably. Each takes pride in their work and is committed to ensuring every client gets the best outcome, every time.
